In the Canadian landing sector, few German fortified sites are left open to visit. Right next to the Juno Beach Center, you will surely appreciate the remains of Wn31 commanded by Hauptman Grote, on June 6th 1944. Some of these underground bunkers have been rediscovered in 2014. this German strong point caused heavy casualties on D-day to Canadian soldiers of the Royal Winnipeg Rifles.

Through this visit directed by a guide from the museum, it’s not only about seeing or taking a picture, but more about understanding about the Command Post, the Tunnel and the Observation Post, by exploring and touching.
